In keeping with the regional structure of NURP,
NURC-NA&GL is responsible for soliciting and supporting in situ research in the North
Atlantic and the Great Lakes regions. The research that has been supported by NURC-NA&GL is
based upon and reflects the needs of each of these regions, which in turn is determined by natural
resource management issues. The following sections describe the features and provide a profile of
